**PLEASE NOTE: The SD2 course requires pre-registration & additional fees**
Hosted by the IHA, in collaboration with the International Board of Undersea Medicine (IBUM), this accredited & advanced course will be led by Dr. Joseph Dituri and Dr. Jason Sonners. IBUM Safety Director Level 2 is currently only offered as an in-person course and expands upon concepts and information from the Safety Director 1 course as it applies to higher pressure vessels operating above 1.3 ATA and utilizing higher oxygen concentrations.
Course attendees will be required to attend the entirety of the class and pass a multiple-choice test. Upon successful completion of the course (and payment of the $100 testing fee paid directly to IBUM onsite) attendees will be provided a certification issued by IBUM, valid for one (1) year.

This course is open to anyone who has previously completed Safety Director level 1 through the International Board of Undersea Medicine (IBUM). Completion of IBUM Safety Director Level 1 course will be verified. If completion of pre-requisite courses cannot be confirmed, registrant must complete the IBUM SD1 course prior to arriving to the conference to complete the Safety Director Level 2 course.

This COMPLEMENTARY pre-conference workshop explores the synergy between hyperbaric therapy and functional medicine in optimizing athletic performance and accelerating recovery. This workshop will be led by industry experts & elite athletes will explore the latest strategies to enhance endurance, reduce inflammation, increase neuroprotection, and the role that Hyperbarics play in overall mitochondrial health and cellular repair for peak performance. Lectures will provide evidence-based strategies and practical protocols for integrating hyperbarics into any athletes’ recovery routine to unlock new levels of performance, recovery and resilience.

  • Hosted by the IHA, in collaboration with the International Board of Undersea Medicine (IBUM), this bundle allows for attendees to complete the IBUM Safety Director 1 course online prior to the conference and attend the Safety Director Level 2 course in-person led by Dr. Joseph Dituri and Dr. Jason Sonners.

    The Safety Director Level 1 course (completed online) is a basic introduction to safety requirements for a hyperbaric chamber system as it relates to 1.3 ATA chambers, utilizing ambient air. Safety Director Level 1 provides the basic information as it relates to hyperbaric systems and their safe use. Upon successful completion of the course (and payment of the $100 testing fee for the SD1 course paid directly to IBUM online) attendees will be provided a certification issued by IBUM for the SD1 course, valid for one (1) year.

    Registrants will also be enrolled in the Safety Director Level 2 course, being offered as an in-person course prior to the conference. The SD2 course expands upon concepts and information from the SD1 course as it applies to higher pressure vessels operating above 1.3 ATA and utilizing higher oxygen concentrations. Course attendees will be required to attend the entirety of the SD2 class and pass a multiple-choice test. Upon successful completion of the course (and payment of the $100 testing fee for the SD2 course paid directly to IBUM onsite) attendees will be provided a certification for the SD2 course issued by IBUM, valid for one (1) year.

Add A Guest Pass to Your Registration

Conference guest passes offer the guest of a registered attendee to attend select conference offerings and events. 

Guest passes do not grant entry to lecture sessions and are non-refundable if a guest is unable to attend or use the pass. A limited amount of guest passes are available for purchase onsite during the conference.

Conference Guest Pass - Provides the guest of a registered attendee access to the exhibitor areas, morning brews & browse, partners networking breakfasts, evening receptions and the conference-closing gala for the duration of the conference. 

Please note: Conference guest passes do not allow the guest of a registered attendee to gain entry into the main conference lecture ballroom at any time or access to attend any conference lectures/panel discussions. 

Conference Closing Reception & Gala Guest Pass - Allows a guest to attend the conference closing gala with a registered attendee.

Event Refund, Participation & Solicitation Policies

The International Hyperbarics Association (hereunder referred to as the IHA) has a no cancellation policy for the 16th Annual Hyperbaric Therapy & Functional Medicine conference. In the event of an unavoidable cancellation of the event, including those deemed an act of God or other intervening circumstance, no refund will be issued. Upon completing registration, the payment is non-refundable. In the event your reservation(s) is canceled, the payment will be forfeited and considered a donation to the IHA with remit of a receipt to receive credit as a tax-free donation. For any questions related to cancellation policies, contact the IHA directly ([email protected]) for additional information. The organizers/management of the event reserve the right to refuse entry to the venue and the event at their own discretion in which case, no refunds will be issued.
By registering for the International Hyperbaric Association (hereunder referred as IHA) 16th Annual Hyperbaric Therapy & Functional Medicine Conference, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the cancellation policy. My participation in the educational program is not a substitute for any licensing requirements that may be applicable to me. The IHA does not independently authorize me to prescribe medications, regiments, treatments, protocol therapies and/or render care to patients. My patient care and treatments in the medical field remain subject to my education, qualifications and state/federal licensure requirements.

The 16th Annual Hyperbaric Therapy and Functional Medicine Conference (hosted by the International Hyperbarics Association from September 25th 28th, 2025 at the Hilton Hotel in Pensacola Beach, Florida) aims to provide a professional and educational environment for all attendees. To maintain this atmosphere, we have established a strict no-solicitation policy.

This policy applies to all conference attendees, including but limited to exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, participations, guests, and event staff and volunteers.

Solicitation of business or sales, distribution of promotional materials, or conducting any commercial activities not pre-approved by the conference organizers is strictly prohibited.

Event attendees are not permitted to engage in any marketing or sales activities, including but not limited to displaying products or distributing samples, outside of their exhibitor space.

All product sales must be conducted exclusively through official conference exhibitors. No sales may be conducted through third-party distributors or individuals who are not registered as exhibitors for the conference.

Conference staff will monitor compliance with this policy. Any violation may result in immediate removal from the conference and prohibition from attending future events
